The learning objectives of this course are:

 

Module 1 – Looking into the Leadership Mirror
Learning Objectives:
• Understand that self-acceptance is an essential part of leadership;
• Identify key moments in your life that have helped you grow as a leader;
• Differentiate between different styles of leadership;
• Identify your leadership styles and strengths.

Module 2 – Turning the Mirror Around
Learning Objectives:
• Understand the context in which you work;
• Understand megatrends and how they affect your context;
• Identify problems in your context and how you can adapt your leadership style to solve the problems.

Module 3 – Negotiation and Difficult Conversations
Learning Objectives:
• Identify basic styles of negotiation;
• Recognise that negotiation is an essential part of your leadership practice;
• Investigate how women negotiate differently from men and the gender barriers they may face during negotiations;
• Understand your own personal negotiation style.

Module 4 – Having Influence as a Leader
Learning Objectives:
• Understand the various sources of power you can use to influence others;
• Identify the best strategies for influence;
• Reflect on how you can use your power, influence and communication skills to create change.

Module 5 – Looking in the Future Mirror
Learning Objectives:
• Understand how to best prepare for the role you have and your future roles;
• Appreciate what methods, tools, resources or networks can assist your leadership development;
• Identify any sources of mentoring or coaching you may wish to assist you.

Module 6 – Creating a Plan
Learning Objectives:
• Identify future trends for the workplace;
• Understand how lifelong development can assist you in your leadership role;
• Create a personal development plan to equip yourself for your future as a
leader.
